Parma also has two unique 'communities' within the community . . . Ukrainian Village and Polish Village. Ukrainian Village is located in the heart of the City of Parma and claims the strip of homes and businesses on State Rd. between Tuxedo Ave. and Grantwood Dr. The Village is a thriving neighborhood that celebrates the culture and heritage of the Ukrainian Americans.  Polish Village occupies the corridor on Ridge Road from Pearl Road to Thornton Ave. It hosts the Polish Constitution Day parade and is home to Krakow Foods (a Polish deli) and The Little Polish Diner. It also contains a wonderful variety of other ethnic shops and restaurants. Sometimes this area is also called "Old World Parma."

Parma's affordable housing has spurred a lot of growth, as young families and young singles can afford to live in a nice well-manicured neighborhood and still be close to their work and all the amenities of the City of Cleveland.  The media sales price for homes in Parma is just a little over $100,000, making it one of the most affordable communities in Northeast Ohio, and in the nation.
