Middleburg Heights

Lake Abram Boardwalk, Middleburg Heights, OhioThe city of Middleburg Heights is situated on 8.08 square miles in Cuyahoga County, 13 miles from Downtown Cleveland and 3 miles from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.  The city provides easy access to three interstate highways, including the Ohio Turnpike (I-80), Interstate 71 and Interstate 480. The I-71 exit at Bagley Road offers easy access to lodging, restaurants and fuel. It is an ideal spot for business travelers and vacationers to stay while visiting the Greater Cleveland area.

There are approximately 16,000 residents of Middleburg Heights.  Housing is available for all lifestyles, and prices range from about $60,000 to just over $300,000, offering middle-class families a variety of suburban living options.

Middleburg Heights students attend the Berea City School District along with students from Berea, Brook Park, and a portion of Olmsted Falls. The school system enrollment is approximately 6,300 students from pre-k through grade 12.

Their award-winning Middleburg Heights Community Center and year-round city recreation programs make it easy for residents to begin or continue a healthy lifestyle. In August 2001 the Community Center was featured in USA Today as one example of upscale facilities that are redefining the concept of community recreation centers. The center was also named Most Outstanding New Center by the Ohio Parks & Recreation Association a few months after its May 2000 opening. Recreation programs/facilities include indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, saunas/steam room, 4-lane indoor track, basketball courts/multipurpose gym, aerobics room, fitness/free weights/circuit training, juice bar, kitchen facilities, banquet facilities, meeting rooms, and Kidszone.  

Middleburg Heights also enjoys a portion of the Cleveland Metroparks, for exercise, relaxation or play.  This includes the beautiful Lake Isaac Recreation Area and the scenic Big Creek Parkway (its all-purpose trail runs through a large part of Middleburg Heights).
